We have been welcoming students from around the world for many years and our faculty and staff are very familiar with the diversified education systems and qualifications. 

High entrance requirements for our degree programmes at Tsinghua reflect the quality of the University. 

All applicants are required to have an internationally recognised English language qualification such as IELTS or TOEFL. The minimum score that is accepted for entry is IELTS 6 or TOEFL Paper Based 550 or TOEFL Computer Based 213. Alternative qualifications may be considered.

Holders of a bachelor degree (with a minimum average of 80% overall) from a recognised Chinese or international university will be considered for direct admission to postgraduate programmes.

Accommodation applications will be automatically started once an offer of a place is made by the Admissions Offices. You will be able to select your ideal accommodation on campus from a great range of shared bedrooms, en-suite flats and family apartments with weekly rent from 65 US dollars. There is also a large international community just outside the university campus so you may choose to find your home from the private market or choose to live with a local family. The International Tutor of the School will always be available to help. 

Transportation to the University campus is fairly convenient by metro railway, public bus or taxi from most of the places in Beijing. It is about 30-40 minutes by taxi from the Beijing Capital International Airport at the cost of 100 Yuan plus the toll fee of 10 Yuan on the Airport Expressway. The School’s general office could normally book a taxi for new arrived students or provide airport meeting service.
